In 2015 we introduced the NY Bros mouthpiece, Theo Wanne's reimagining of the classic vintage Meyer-style design. Now, after 10 years of researching, reworking and refining, we've given it an overhaul - creating a sound with more core and an even better response. If you love that vintage jazz sound of the 1950s and 1960s, this is the modern mouthpiece you need to have.
Theo Wanne, the world’s foremost expert on vintage sax mouthpieces, travels the world giving clinics and teaching mouthpiece design and refacing. This has led to further understanding of what makes the traditional Meyer design so great, and updates in both the baffle and chamber shapes!
In addition, the Theo Wanne™ factory in Bellingham, WA USA has also been further advancing mouthpiece manufacturing techniques. The updated design and manufacturing has resulted in the NYBROS III! You will notice even more core and aliveness in the sound! Truly the ultimate vintage Meyer!
